ലോക് ഭവനിൽ സിക്കിം, ഗോവ സംസ്ഥാന രൂപീകരണ ദിനാചരണം

സിക്കിം, ഗോവ എന്നീ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ രൂപീകരണ ദിനങ്ങൾ ഇന്ന് ലോക് ഭവനിൽ ആചരിച്ചു. ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട ഗവർണർ ശ്രീ രാജേന്ദ്ര് വിശ്വനാഥ് ആർലേക്കർ ചടങ്ങ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു.

സാംസ്കാരികവും സാമ്പത്തികവുമായ ബന്ധങ്ങൾ കൂടുതൽ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനും സമൂഹങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ പരസ്പര ഇടപെടൽ, ധാരണ, പങ്കാളിത്തം എന്നിവ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന 'ഏക് ഭാരത് ശ്രേഷ്ഠ ഭാരത്' പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായാണ് ഈ ആഘോഷം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്.

ചടങ്ങ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്ത് സംസാരിച്ച ഗവർണർ ഈ ദിനാചരണങ്ങൾക്ക് സ്വതന്ത്ര ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ പ്രത്യേക പ്രാധാന്യമുണ്ടെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.

പോർച്ചുഗീസ് ഭരണത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മോചിതമായി ഗോവ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ 25-ാമത് സംസ്ഥാനമായി മാറിയതുപോലെ, 1975-ൽ നടന്ന ജനഹിതപരിശോധനയിൽ 97 ശതമാനം ജനങ്ങളും ഇന്ത്യയുമായി ലയനത്തെ അനുകൂലിച്ചതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ദീർഘകാല രാജഭരണം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച് സിക്കിം ഇന്ത്യയുടെ 22-ാമത് സംസ്ഥാനമായി മാറിയതായും അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.

ചടങ്ങിനുശേഷം ഗോവയുടെയും സിക്കിമിന്റെയും സാംസ്കാരിക പരിപാടികൾ അരങ്ങേറി.

ഗവർണറുടെ സെക്രട്ടറി ശ്രീമതി കെ. വാസുകി ഐ.എ.എസ്., ഗോവൻ അസോസിയേഷനെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച് ശ്രീ മോഹൻദാസ് പൈ, ശ്രീ വിവേകാനന്ദ പൈ, സിക്കിമിൽ നിന്ന് ശ്രീമതി ഗീത ദോർജി എന്നിവർ ചടങ്ങിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

Sikkim and Goa foundation Day observed in Lok Bhavan.

The State foundation Days of Goa and Sikkim were observed in Lok Bhavan today with the Governor Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar inaugurating the function.

The observance of the function is the part of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' initiative of the Central Government to foster stronger cultural and economic bonds amongst communities by promoting greater interaction, understanding and shared learning.

Inaugurating the event the Governor Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that observance of these days holds particular importance in independent India's history.

While Goa became the 25th State of India liberating from Portuguese rule, Sikkim became the 22nd State in 1975 ending long years of monarchy following a referendum with 97% of people favoring merger with India.

The meeting was followed by cultural programmes from these States. Smt. K. Vasuki IAS, Secretary to Governor, Shri Mohandas Pai, Shri Vivekananda Pai from the Goan Association and Smt. Geetha Dorjee from Sikkim were with the Hon'ble Governor.
