ഗിരി ഗോത്രവര്ഗ്ഗക്കാരുടെ സമൂല വികസനത്തിലൂടെ മാത്രമേ വികസിത ഭാരതം എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യം സാക്ഷാത്കരിക്കാനാകൂ എന്ന് ഗവര്ണര് രാജേന്ദ്ര് വിശ്വനാഥ് ആര്ലേക്കര് പറഞ്ഞു.
രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ യഥാര്ത്ഥ വികസനം സാധ്യമാകണമെങ്കില് സമൂഹത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പിന്നാക്ക വിഭാഗങ്ങളുടെ ഉന്നമനം ഉറപ്പാക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. സമൂഹത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും അവസാനതട്ടിൽ നിൽക്കുന്ന ഓരോ വ്യക്തിയുടെയും പുരോഗതി ഉറപ്പാക്കിയാലേ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വളർച്ച സാധ്യമാകൂ എന്ന് ഡീനോട്ടിഫൈഡ് ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ സംസ്ഥാനതല യോഗത്തില് അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ഗോത്രവര്ഗ്ഗങ്ങളെ ഇനി അവഗണിക്കാനാവില്ലെന്നും, കൂട്ടായ സമീപനത്തിലൂടെ അവരുടെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്ക്ക് ശാശ്വതമായ പരിഹാരം കാണേണ്ടതുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. ഓള് ഇന്ത്യ ഡീനോട്ടിഫൈഡ് നോമാഡിക് ട്രൈബ്സ് ഡെവലപ്മെന്റ് കൗണ്സില് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച യോഗം ഇത്തരം സമൂഹങ്ങളെ ഒരുമിപ്പിച്ച് അവരുടെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള് ചര്ച്ച ചെയ്യാനുള്ള സുപ്രധാന വേദിയാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തു.
കൊളോണിയല് കാലഘട്ടത്തില് ജാതി, ഗോത്രം, മതം എന്നിവയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില് സമൂഹത്തിലെ വിഭജനം ദേശീയ ഐക്യത്തെ ദുര്ബലമാക്കിയെന്നും, ഇത് ആത്മപരിശോധനയുടെ സമയമാണ് എന്നും സൂചിപ്പിച്ച ഗവർണർ പറഞ്ഞു. വിഭജനങ്ങള് കൂട്ടായ ശക്തിയെ ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യാനന്തര കാലത്തും ഈ വിഭജനങ്ങളെ പൂര്ണമായും ഒഴിവാക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലായെല്ലെന്നും ഗവര്ണര് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. സമൂഹിക വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ ബോധവല്ക്കരണം വര്ധിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഈ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പാഠം ഉൾക്കൊണ്ട് ഐക്യത്തിനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങള് ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു.
രാജ്യത്തുടനീളം നടത്തിയ പഠനത്തില് 256-ല് അധികം ഗോത്രങ്ങള് പട്ടികജാതി, പട്ടികവര്ഗ്ഗം, ഒബിസി വിഭാഗങ്ങളില് ഒന്നിലും ഉള്പ്പെടാത്തതിനാല് ദീര്ഘകാലങ്ങളായി അവകാശങ്ങളില്നിന്ന് മാറ്റി നിർത്തപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ളതായി കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഈ ജനവിഭാഗങ്ങളെ കണ്ടെത്തി അവരെ മുഖ്യധാരയിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതില് കൗൺസിൽ വഹിച്ച പങ്ക് ശ്ലാഘനീയമാണ് എന്ന് ഗവര്ണര് പറഞ്ഞു.
ഡീനോട്ടിഫൈഡ് നോമാഡിക് ട്രൈബ്സ് ബോര്ഡ് മുന് ചെയര്മാന് പത്മശ്രീ ബിക്കു റാംജി ഇദാത്തെ, ഡെവലപ്മെന്റ് കൗണ്സില് ദേശീയ ജനറല് സെക്രട്ടറി അനില് ദേവീദാസ് ഫഹഡ്, സംസ്ഥാന അധ്യക്ഷ ലതികല എന്നിവർ ചടങ്ങിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

Tribal Development key to achieve Viksit Bharat: Governor
The Hon'ble Governor of Kerala, Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has said that all-round welfare of tribals and integrated development of tribal areas is the need of the hour to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat. He was speaking after inaugurating the All India Denotified and Nomadic Tribal Development Council meeting.
The Governor said the meeting of the denotified and nomadic tribes is a significant and timely initiative, as it provides a platform for all of us to come together and discuss the issues faced by these communities. "Tribals cannot be neglected any longer, it is time to introspect what we can do collectively. History teaches us that society becomes weak when divided and it becomes easier to rule. During the colonial period, divisions were created on the basis of caste, tribe, and even religion. This separation weakened our collective strength". The Governor said.
The Governor noted that the society must remain alert to these historical facts and learn from them. Though we had opportunities to correct this malaise soon after Independence, we were not fully successful. Of late, there is a greater awareness which has initiated a process of unification. The Governor observed that more than 256 tribes were excluded from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and OBC categories, and were denied their rightful share of benefits for decades. He lauded the efforts of the Council in identifying them and including them in the welfare schemes of the Government.
If we truly seek the development of our nation, we must ensure the upliftment of the most marginalized sections. The progress of the country depends on the development of the last person in society. The Governor said that the dream of Viksit Bharat can be realized only when all the people get the fruits of development.
Padmashri Bhiku Ramji Idate, former Chairman of the Denotified Nomadic Tribes Board, Shri Anil Devidas Phad, National General Secretary, AIDNTDC and Smt. Lethikala, State President, also participated in the event.
