All Eligible Persons Should Get the Chance To Vote – Governor.

Kerala Governor Shri Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar has urged electoral officers in the State to ensure that no eligible voter is left out in the revised voters' list. Shri Arlekar appealed to the people of Kerala to wholeheartedly support and cooperate with SIR process to make it speedy and fault free. The Governor assured all support to the electoral officers.

Launching the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voters in Kerala, here at Lok Bhavan today, the Governor stated that the revised voters' list should be total besides being more accurate and inclusive so as to facilitate free and fare elections.

Shri. Ratan U. Kelkar, Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala explained the SIR process and procedure to the Governor. Smt. Sharmila C, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Shri Krishnadasan P., Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Shri Rusi R.S., Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Shri Madhu, Electoral Registration Officer and Smt. Benazir, Booth Level Officer were also present on the occasion.

അർഹരായ ആർക്കും സമ്മതിദാനാവകാശം നിഷേധിക്കരുത് – ഗവർണർ

പുതുക്കിയ അന്തിമ വോട്ടർപട്ടിക പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അർഹരായ ആരേയും ഒഴിവാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല എന്ന് ഉറപ്പാക്കണമെന്ന് ഗവർണർ ശ്രീ രാജേന്ദ്ര വിശ്വനാഥ് ആർലേക്കർ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് അധികാരികൾക്ക് നിർദ്ദേശം നല്കി.

കേരളത്തിലെ സ്പെഷ്യൽ ഇൻറൻസീവ് റിവിഷൻ (SIR) പരിപാടി ഇന്ന് ലോക്ഭവനിൽ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു ഗവർണർ. പുതുക്കിയ വോട്ടർ പട്ടിക സമഗ്രവും കൃത്യവും എല്ലവരേയും ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്നതുമായിരിക്കണം എന്നും അതുവഴി സ്വതന്ത്രവും നിഷ്പക്ഷവുമായ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് സാധ്യമാകണമെന്നും ഗവർണർ ഓർമ്മിപ്പിച്ചു.

എസ്‌.ഐ‌.ആർ. പ്രക്രിയ വേഗത്തിലും കുറ്റവിമുക്തമായും പൂർത്തീകരിക്കുന്നതിന് എല്ലാ ജനങ്ങളും സർവ്വാത്മനാ സഹകരിക്കണമെന്ന് ഗവർണർ അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചു. തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് അധികാരികൾക്ക് എല്ലാ പിന്തുണയും അദ്ദേഹം വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തു.
