Hon'ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, urged the people to draw inspiration from the life of late Shri K.R. Narayanan, whose journey was dedicated to Nation-building, to create a more inclusive, just, and compassionate India.
The President said that Shri K.R. Narayanan, the distinguished diplomat-statesman, empowered himself through determination and dedication, rising from a humble background to occupy the highest office in the country. His life, she noted, continues to serve as a role model for all. The President was addressing the gathering after unveiling the bust of Shri K.R. Narayanan at a function held at Lok Bhavan Kerala today.
Former President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, suggested that this "Kerala Model" should be emulated by other States and Lok Bhavans by installing statues of their respective sons and daughters who rose to become President of India.
The Governor of Bihar, Shri Arif Mohammed Khan, observed that Shri Narayanan lived Dharma in practical life and was deeply committed to Indian culture and the Constitution.
Speaking on the occasion, Kerala Governor, Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, described the late Shri K.R. Narayanan as a great son of Kerala who, during his tenure as President of India, proved himself as a strong protector of the Constitution.
The event was attended by the Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, Members of the State Cabinet, MPs and MLAs, Mayor and the crème of the State capital.

രാജ്യനിർമാണത്തിന് സമർപ്പിതമായ ജീവിതയാത്ര യാഥാര്ത്ഥ്യമാക്കിയ മുൻ രാഷ്ട്രപതി, പരേതനായ ശ്രീ കെ.ആർ. നാരായണന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ നിന്നും പ്രചോദനം ഉൾക്കൊണ്ടുകൊണ്ട് നീതിയുക്തവും കരുണാപൂര്ണവും എല്ലാവരേയും ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്നതുമായ ഭാരത-സൃഷ്ടിക്കായി പ്രയത്നിക്കണമെന്ന് രാഷ്ട്രപതി ശ്രീമതി ദ്രൗപദി മുർമു ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തു.
കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രിയായും, ഉപരാഷ്ട്രപതിയായും തുടര്ന്ന് ഭാരതത്തിന്റെ പ്രഥമപൗരനായും വിശിഷ്ട സ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ അലങ്കരിച്ച ശ്രീ കെ.ആർ. നാരായണൻ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഉറച്ച മനസ്സും സമർപ്പണബോധവും കൊണ്ട്, പരിമിതമായ ജീവിത സാഹചര്യങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും ഉയർന്ന് രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പരമോന്നത സ്ഥാനത്ത് എത്തിയ വ്യക്തിയാണെന്നും, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജീവിതം നമുക്ക് എല്ലാവർക്കും മാതൃകയാണെന്നും രാഷ്ട്രപതി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. ലോക്ഭവൻ കേരളത്തിൽ മുന് രാഷ്ട്രപതി ശ്രീ കെ.ആർ. നാരായണന്റെ പ്രതിമ അനാച്ഛാദനം ചെയ്ത് സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു രാഷ്ട്രപതി.
മറ്റ് രാഷ്ട്രപതിമാരുടേയും പ്രതിമകൾ അവര്ക്ക് ജന്മം നൽകിയ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ അതാത് ലോക്ഭവനുകളിൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഈ "കേരള മാതൃക" രാജ്യമാകെ അനുകരിക്കണമെന്ന് മുൻ രാഷ്ട്രപതി ശ്രീ രാംനാഥ് കോവിന്ദ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അനുസ്മരണ പ്രസംഗത്തിൽ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.
ജീവിതത്തിൽ ധർമ്മത്തെ പ്രായോഗികതലത്തിൽ അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുകയും, ഭാരതീയ സംസ്കാരത്തോടും ഭരണഘടനയോടും ആഴത്തിലുള്ള പ്രതിബദ്ധത പുലർത്തുകയും ചെയ്ത വ്യക്തിയാണ് ശ്രീ കെ.ആര്. നാരായണൻ എന്ന് ബിഹാർ ഗവർണർ ശ്രീ ആരിഫ് മുഹമ്മദ് ഖാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അനുസ്മരണ പ്രഭാഷണത്തിൽ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
ഭാരതത്തിന്റെ ഭരണഘടനയുടെ ശക്തനായ സംരക്ഷകനായിരുന്ന, കേരളത്തിന്റെ മഹാനായ പുത്രനാണ് ശ്രീ കെ.ആര്. നാരായണൻ എന്ന് കേരള ഗവർണർ ശ്രീ രാജേന്ദ്ര വിശ്വനാഥ് ആർലേകർ, അനുസ്മരിച്ചു.
