Navarathri symbolises unity amidst cultural diversity : Governor

The Hon'ble Governor Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that Navarathri symbolises unity of the country amidst the cultural diversity.

He was speaking after receiving the sacred idols at Kalayikkavila on Kerala - Tamilnadu border on behalf of the people of Kerala. The Governor noted that whether it is Kerala or tamilnadu, or any other region, the fervour of the celebrations remain the same irrespective of caste, colour, creed or class. The festive spirit transcends all borders and it is the same spirit that holds us all together, said the Governor.

സാംസ്കാരിക വൈവിധ്യത്തിനിടയിലും രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഐക്യത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമാണ് നവരാത്രി ഉത്സവമെന്ന് ആദരണീയ ഗവർണർ ശ്രീ. രാജേന്ദ്ര വിശ്വനാഥ് ആർലേക്കർ പറഞ്ഞു,

കേരള ജനതയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി കേരള–തമിഴ്നാട് അതിർത്തിയിലെ കളിയിക്കാവിളയിൽ നവരാത്രി വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ സ്വീകരിച്ചശേഷം സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. കേരളമോ തമിഴ്നാടോ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ മറ്റേതു ഭാഗമായാലും, നവരാത്രി ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ആവേശം ജാതി, വർണം, മതം, വർഗ്ഗം എന്നീ മതിലുകൾ മറികടന്ന് ഒരുപോലെ പ്രകടമാകുന്നതായി ഗവർണർ നിരീക്ഷിച്ചു. അതിർത്തികളെ കവിയുന്ന ഉത്സവാത്മകമായ ഭാവമാണ് നമ്മെല്ലാവരെയും ഒന്നിച്ചു നിർത്തുന്നതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.
