Viksit Kerala is the roadmap to achieve Viksit Bharat : Governor

The Governor Shri Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar said that every state in the country should become developed to attain the goal of developed India. He was speaking while inaugurating the distinguished Lecture Series and launching the Future Kerala Mission – Ideafest 2025 at a function in Kochi today.

Noting that Viksit Kerala is a necessary prerequisite to attain Viksit Bharat, the education should produce job givers not job seekers. He said that the New Education Policy (NEP)is a step in that direction. New courses and disciplines should emerge for developing industry, agriculture, art etc. Observing that NEP offers more scope for integrating modern disciplines with our own culture l, he added that it is the first serious and honest attempt to decolonise our education system.

The Governor said that the Indian thought stream transcends all 'isms' and adumbrates the whole universe and environment is an essential part of it. 'Sarve jana sukhino bhavanthu' is the credo of our perspective of the world, said the Governor.
