അവശ്യ ചികിത്സാ സൌകര്യങ്ങള് രോഗിയുടെ വാതില്പ്പടിയില് എത്തിക്കാന് കഴിയുന്ന സംവിധാനം വളര്ത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിന് പ്രത്യേക ഊന്നല് നല്കണമെന്ന് ഗവര്ണര് ശ്രീ രാജേന്ദ്ര വിശ്വനാഥ് ആര്ലേക്കര് ആരോഗ്യമേഖലയില് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ ഉദ്ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.
കോട്ടയത്ത്, മന്ദിരം ആശുപത്രിയില് ഉമ്മൻചാണ്ടി സ്മാരക ഡയാലിസിസ് കേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം നിർവഹിച്ചു സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.
സമഗ്ര ആരോഗ്യപരിപാലനം സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ സമസ്തമേഖലയിലും എത്തണമെന്നും, നഗരകേന്ദ്രീകൃതമായ മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട ചികിത്സാ സൌകര്യങ്ങള് ഗ്രാമീണ മേഖലയ്ക്കും എത്തിപ്പിടിക്കാന് കഴിയുന്ന തരത്തില് ആരോഗ്യ മേഖലയില് ആവശ്യമായ മാറ്റങ്ങള് വരേണ്ടതുണ്ടെന്നും ബഹു. ഗവര്ണര് ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.
അന്തരിച്ച മുന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ഉമ്മന്ചാണ്ടിയുടെ സംഭാവനകളെ അനുസ്മരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, നിസ്വാര്ത്ഥവും, ആത്മീയവുമായ പാതയിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കു മാത്രമേ ഒരു യഥാര്ത്ഥ പൊതുപ്രവര്ത്തകനാകാന് കഴിയൂവെന്നും, തന്റെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവര്ത്തന കാലഘട്ടം മുഴുവന് അപ്രകാരം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ച് ജനമനസ്സില് ഇടം നേടിയ നേതാവായിരുന്നു ഉമ്മന്ചാണ്ടിയെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.

Hospital Services Should Reach Door-steps of the Needy: Governor
The Governor Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Aralekar urged the medical fraternity to develop a system that ensures the timely delivery of essential hospital services at the door steps of the needy. He was inaugurating the 'Oommen Chandy Memorial Dialysis Centre' at Mandiram Hospital, in Kottayam, today.
The Governor said that holistic medical care has to be given to the entire population and healthcare services should shed their city-centric tag and move closer to rural areas.
The Governor recalled the contributions made by the former Chief Minister late Oommen Chandy and said that only those with a spiritual outlook can become a true public servant and Oommen Chandy epitomizes that quality in his entire political career.
